I love this time of year, because it is a great time to say thank you and I love you. It is an opportunity to tell many others, people we may have taken for granted, how much we appreciate them and their sacrifice and commitment to our well-being in life and in business. No matte what you are celebrating this holiday season, embrace your family, your community, and the many people in your business and life that support you. From our civil servants and military, who would put their lives at risk for us, to our commander and chief, congress, and the many government leaders and workers who provide the infrastructure and security that makes this great nation the leader in the world it is in just about every category. This is a great time to be proud to be an American and a citizen of a free society that values life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for everyone, especially for those who dare to go beyond dreaming the American Dream but come here and live it. These people make it a realty for everyone else around them. This is the time to be thankful and grateful for where you are and the life you have at this very moment.
I love this is the time of year as well because people come together for the better and not for the worse. They come together to feed the hungry and assist the poor. They come together to worship together and support all of those in our communities who need us and appreciate any help they can receive. We come together improve our communities, to bring our families together and to remember, commemorate, celebrate, and break bread together in the sweet communion of fellowship; all while sharing in holy ceremonies and rituals without fear because of the religious freedom we all enjoy. We come together because collectively and individually we want to be better and kinder. We want to be members of a community that seeks to be better together and become the beacon of change that is for good society. The season of New Year Resolutions is upon us, so why not take this time be introspective? How can we individually and collectively become better for those around us who look to us to be the leaders of what is good and right in the world. I do not have the answer, but I do know the power to make a change is now!
In closing. I am especially grateful for my wife of thirty-four amazing years. Her support and love has brought only happiness and four incredible children. I appreciate all that she is and will be in the future as we grow old together and celebrate each year as victory lap around the Olympic track of life. Christmas is always special time with my wife and family. They inspire me above all else to take action and to make the most of life, because it is very short.
So as the year comes to a close, keep those dear to you close to your heart. Make amends for wrongs even if you did not commit them, and strive to foster relationships with those you love and work with. Relationship are everything and they are more important than most things in life.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and May God Bless the United States of America.
